How we use your information

FoodCamp.ca is currently testing interest in possible food-related programs. Joining a priority list records interest only. It is not a booking or purchase.
Information we collect
We collect the contact and preference information you choose to submit, including your name, email address, preferred program, city, timing, group size, price range, and optional comments. If you contact us, we also collect your enquiry topic, message, and any organization you choose to provide.
We also record basic interaction data such as pages viewed, program cards seen, details opened, audience and duration choices, programs saved, first-choice selections, share actions, priority-list starts, completed joins, and optional reasons for choosing a program. Campaign parameters may be used to understand which outreach source brought a visitor to the site. A random browser identifier helps us distinguish repeat activity. We do not use advertising cookies.
We may use an approximate city supplied by our hosting provider to personalize the page and prefill the city field. We do not request precise GPS location. The suggested city is not added to the priority list unless you review and submit the form.
Why we collect it
- To identify which program concepts have meaningful demand.
- To decide which audiences, cities, schedules, and price ranges to prioritize.
- To contact you about a program you asked to hear about.
- To respond to questions, program suggestions, sponsorships, partnerships, venue opportunities, and private-group enquiries.
- To improve the clarity and usefulness of the FoodCamp.ca experience.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell your personal information. We may use service providers that help us host and operate the site. We retain experiment and priority-list data only as long as it is reasonably needed to evaluate and launch FoodCamp programs, meet legal obligations, or respond to your request.
Your choices
You can ask to review, correct, or delete information you submitted, or unsubscribe from future program updates, by emailing hello@foodcamp.ca.
